WELCOME Purpose and users The site is placed on the server of the OECD office in Moscow. The main purpose of the site is to enhance access to information on the OECD and its activities for Russian government bodies, financial, research and educational institutions. The web site is complementary to the general web site of the OECD with more bias to co-operation with Russia and OECD activities in Russia.
One of the main features of the site is that it is laid out in Russian language for it's major part. Russian government agencies have many times expressed their wish to have a quick access to updated information on the OECD activities. It especially pertains to Russian ministries which would like to participate in the work of committees where Russia is admitted as observer but don't have financial means to send their representatives to Paris regularly. In case some concrete information (document) does not exist in Russian, a short summary is placed followed by the English version or a link to the general OECD site is made.
English | View long abstract 11-Sep-2009 OECD composite leading indicators (CLIs) for July 2009 show stronger signs of recovery in most of the OECD economies. Clear signals of recovery are now visible in all major seven economies, in particular in France and Italy, as well as in China, India and Russia. The signs from Brazil, where a trough is emerging, are also more encouraging than in last month’s assessment.
